The French are coming, the French are coming!!! This is not so much a battle cry as an indication of the force of the French contingent that has been highly visible at the Sundance Film Festival. Leading French sales companies Celluloid Dreams, Wild Bunch, Wide Management and Gaumont are here in force, representing multiple titles in the festival and pre-selling new projects. "Sundance is attracting more and more international buyers", one leading agent told me. "We are using Sundance as a way of previewing films for buyers in advance of the Berlin Film Market."
The increased French visibility was borne out by another major acquisitions announcement. One of the most anticipated films of the festival, THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP by French director Michel Gondry, has been bought by Warner Independent Pictures, the indie division of film major Warner Brothers. The film, starring Mexican hearthrob Gael Garcia Bernal (THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES) and Charlotte Gainsbourg, had its first screening on Sunday night. In less than 24 hours time, the film was acquired for $6 million for US, Canadian and UK rights. French major Gaumont handled the sale.
Celluloid Dreams is representing the newest film from Argentine director Fabien Bielinsky, whose debut feature NINE QUEENS was an international hit. Bielinsky's newest film THE AURA has generated strong interest from a number of key US distributors, and an announcement of a film sale is expected by the end of the week.
TF1 International announced the pick up of international rights, excluding English speaking territories, for the film GOD GREW TIRED OF US, which is screening in the American documentary competition. The film, directed by Christopher Quinn and executive produced by actor Brad Pitt, tells the moving story of a group of young refugees from war-torn Sudan who are brought to America to start a new life.
Wild Bunch used the Sundance platform to arrange a rushed press conference on Sunday morning at a Starbucks coffee house, to announce the next film by director Luc Jacquet, whose MARCH OF THE PENGUINS was a major international hit. Jacquet's newest project, THE FOX AND THE CHILD, will tell the story of a little girl who has a magical encounter with a fox.
The news brought out key executives from the leading independent distribution companies, including Sony Classics, the Weinstein Company, Focus Features, Miramax and Fox Searchlight. Jacquet is expected to win top documentary honors at the Academy Awards in March.
Pas mal....

In the search of “Rodolfo Garavagno” I found this blog. I know Mr. Garavagno and I can affirm without fear to equivorcar itself that he is a true wise person and by on all the things a genius that by to have been in a country without industry like Argentina, the world-wide community cannot enjoy its talent.

As Rodolfo Garavagno says to the teacher, the world it is not blind, single need that class of light lights that can give the wise men. The few wise people who in the world are do not take place in this world because mediocres astute ones held the positions of being able economic and political, have envies of the wisdom.
A SINGLE WORLD WITHOUT WISE PEOPLE CAN FALL IN THE ABYSS. Argentina, the mother country of the Garavagno teacher, although does not want to recognize it, knows it perfectly well.

During the present World Cup of Football, Mr. Rodolfo Garavagno is finding new turns to the language to comment to most popular of the sports.
He was yesterday speaking by an important chain of radio and their concepts graze, as already it is custom in him, the wisdom.
Rodolfo Garavagno is every wiser day.

If the world worked well, if we are living in a paradise in where the respect by the fellow it was the gift more appraised by those than we inhabited the planet, we would not have to worry to us. But every day that happens all the opposite. First, there is a permanent attack against the planet, of hands of the same man who inhabits it, first principle of the respect to neighbords of which talked. Soon, the sostein moral degradation in hipocresía, the corruption, the injustice, the hunger and the homicido one of people of all the ages without scruples, paints a humanly negative panorama to us. Like not resorting then to the only wise man of that signals in the world are had, that he is not other that Rodolfo Garavagno? Like not going in its search and putting to us in its hands humbly so that it collaborates with the cause to stop this universal disaster that we see daily? It lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in Trujuí, Colored person. It is, like all wise person of the history of the world, marginalized of all position or criminal action. The politicos are mediocre. They are not going to go in their search because the their miseries would have left naked, but those that we aspired to a better world we would have to be united to rescue the wise person of that absurd anonymity, forces suicide on for us.

"The March of the Boys with Hunger"
"the march of the boys hunger" was made days ago in Moreno, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was organized by children supported by the Communist Party, the Movement of Theology for the Liberation and other organisms of Human rights. The slogan was "The hunger is a Crime". It was simply a reclamation to the politicians who govern Argentina, so that they finish with the children hunger. In Moreno, for example, die a boy every two days by avoidable causes. Moreno is the second district of Buenos Aires, and has only one hospital to take care of 800 thousand people almost.
The march arose as a result of a visit made by originating boys with hunger from the province of Tucumán one year ago to the president of the Nation, who did not receive them because he was taking care of the basket player Manuel Ginobili of the NBA.
We filmed all the march and participated more than 3000 people. Now, following a script which we have prepared, we are trying to produce a documentary film looking for file images, to show the causes of which in Argentina there are boys with hunger, and want in addition to give a sound him that allows to show the images us accompanied by an important sound track that we are composing. We looked for associated producers of any part of the world.

About Rodolfo Garavagno
You know which is prepared to help to save to the world? To save it of which? Of the wars, of the hunger, the inequality, the delinquency, the virósicas diseases, the lie and the treason…
I know that man. He lives in Argentina and his name is RODOLFO GARAVAGNO.
A lamentably inactive wise person in its country. He is to understand. Argentina is a paradise inhabited by demons and to the demon it does not like that the men of God are in activity.

Travelling in Argentina
I finish returning of Argentina and I saw a earth hermoza, prodigal in extension and really amazing natural landscapes. But when observing the television reporters, thing who always I do in my trips by the world, I confess that never I saw a country in where are so many aberrant homicides, so many politically disagreeable accidents of trasito and things like protests of people by the streets. By my own means I put in contact with people, traveling including a slums like villas miseries and suburbs of Buenos Aires. There I could confirm what even saw by television and worse things. Single a good memory I bring of Argentina as far as human beings talks about. I knew Rodolfo Garavagno and I found in him a unique wise person. I doubt that there is people with its level throughout the world of today. Per moment, when chatting in his company, I had the impression to be in the presence of Sócrates, philosopher to whom I admire more. To see Rodolfo Garavagno, lost in a town like that, is as to find a diamond in mud. It is impossible that that town repairs in him. The Argentinean has a sickly pride and he would never surrender before a wise person, all the opposite, most probable is than they try to destroy it so that they do not unmask them.
